FACULTY

COURSE LEADER: VICTORIA HAMPSON

Victoria trained at Laine Theatre Arts, where she was Head Girl throughout her three years of training. Whilst studying there, she also taught in Miss Laine’s Semi-Student Department and returned home regularly to choreograph for Glendale Theatre Arts — where her passion for choreography first began.

She continued choreographing in-between professional contracts and was awarded the Joanne Marsden Blackwell Award for Outstanding Choreography by Dame Gillian Lynne.

Since 2011, her choreography (notably her group pieces) has consistently gained notoriety, being awarded numerous accolades locally, nationally, and internationally.

In recent years, Victoria has been recognised with multiple prestigious awards, including:

Most Outstanding Group at the All England Dance Finals, presented by Stephen Mear

Choreographer of the Year at The Dance School Awards, presented by Miriam Teak-Lee

Dance Teacher of the Year at The Dance School Awards, presented by MOVE IT

Best Overall Children’s Group at the 2025 Dance World Cup, presented by Abbe Lee Miller

The Patron’s Award, presented by Bonnie Lythgoe for her acclaimed group “Cabaret”

In September 2022, Victoria opened Genesis Performing Arts, which in just three years has seen pupils achieve exceptional examination results (up to 99 marks in Classical Ballet and 100 in Modern Theatre) and remarkable international success — including 279 medals at the 2025 Dance World Cup with Team England, alongside pupils receiving international scholarships and multiple overall awards. Genesis Performing Arts was featured on Britains got Talent in 2025 and strives to provide students with exposure to as many opportunities as possible.

Today, Victoria remains at the forefront of choreographic innovation, creating pieces that challenge students artistically and technically.

Victoria is committed to guiding the next generation of performers towards vocational training. She shares not only her deep industry knowledge but also her unique insight into current audition processes, while providing students with access to world-class industry professionals.

Victoria is proud to have current students performing in the West End in addition to guiding prevocational students to gain placement on courses at top colleges across the country including: Wilkes Acadmy, Laine Theatre Arts, Addict, Italia Conti, Emil Dale, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Performers College, Urdang Academy, ArtsEd, London Studio Centre, GSA and Bird College.
